As we were on the out skirts of Mombassa we had to go and see the real Kenya.  We took a day trip in to the city where we met with our guide he took us to the Coop wood carvery where they carve all the wooden animals and trible masks that you oftern see in the ethnic shops. After that we went around some of the hindu temples, through the old parts of Mombassa and then into the spice market.

The thing about the Kenyans is even though they dont have a lot and work insanley hard for what little they do have they are always so happy and friendley to everyone.  It is pretty much impossible to walk past someone with out a friendley smile followed by “Jambo”.  They are always very proud of there work and are eagar to show you.  It really put things into prospective for me and showed me that I really am lucky to have what I have and we should all be proud of what ever we acchive be it big or small.

Below are some more photos to give you another taster of Kenya. Enjoy!
