2013 started off so well for me. My first wedding of the year was with Deborah and Tony they chose to celebrate there day at the start of January an unusual time of year for weddings. But when you think of it it's actually the perfect time of year. The hype of Christmas and New Year is over, January can be a blue time of year but now each year Deborah and Tony have something wonderful to look forward to and celebrate together.

Tthey went for a simple classic neutrals and white wedding with lots of candles. I have to say I loved all the candles set into the walls and they made for some really cosy photos.

So this was my last wedding of 2012 and what a wonderful day it was. Stacy and Kristopher had decided to go with winter wonderland colours of frosted silvers and cool blues. It was magical and felt so fresh and festive like a winters morning. Even thought the days are short at this time of year we still managed to get out and take a few shots in the chilli afternoon light. A little different from their pre wedding photos taken back in the summer but still just as charming don't you think? It was a wonderful end to a wonderful year.

Thanks to all my wonderful couples in 2012 for letting me photograph and share in your special day, it honestly has been my pleasure and I have enjoyed every single one of them. If 2013 is even half as good I will be one happy little photographer!

Happy New Year !

Welcome to a freezing cold wedding blog post.

Saturday the 1st of December I was invited to share in and photograph the wedding day of Kevin and Karen. After a week of heavy rain we had been keeping our fingers crossed for some sunshine and once again the weather gods came though. Though it was bitterly cold. I have to say that Karen was one of the bravest brides I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She braved the cold for some stunning winter sunset wedding photos even having one or two without her fluffy white jacket so she could show off her stunning dress.
