So true to British tradition it once again rained over Bank holiday. I had this same weather to work with last year as you can see in the archives on October 5th 2011.

So the lovely Jackie and Craig had to brave the damp weather so we could nip out and take some wonderful wedding photos inbetween some of the most insane showers.  But we managed to get some wonderful light bright photos and some fun family photos too.

I had such a lovely day with Helen and Brian at their wedding last Friday. We were so lucky to only have a slight drizzle of rain and so had plenty of chance to get out and take some wonderful inner city photos.

Last weekend I was invited to photograph the wedding of Louise and Andrew over at Elsham Hall.  Elsham hall is somewhere I had not photographed at before but I sure hope I get the chance to work there again.  The gardens are out of this world it is like walking into wonderland with its lake, walled gardens and cosy corners.  The barn is also stunning with it's high roof and big beams.  Louise has chosen to go with a wonderful colourful cath kidston theme.   She had multi coloured flowers for the bridesmaids, pretty strings of bunting tied up and some of the best table decorations I have ever soon.. flowers in wellys!  So as you can imagine a wonderful day was had by all.  The guests enjoyed drinks in the court yard while they took in the sunny warm August afternoon.

Last week I headed out with my second photographer Amy to Bishop Burton to take some romantic photos of the lovely Helen and Adam. The photo shoot was meant to be for Amy to learn a few tricks on how to deal with different lighting but me being me, I couldn’t resist the urge to jump in and take a few shots my self.

Also a big thanks to Helen and Adam for giving up your evening and being such super subject to photograph.

Lucy and David booked me over a year ago and so as usual a month before the wedding we met for coffee and a catch up at Willerby Manor the place they had booked for their wedding reception. So we are going through the usual details and all is going fine. Nice traditional wedding traditional classic shots. As I always do I ask if they have any details planned that I should know about and they say nope! Then just as I am about to go Lucy pepp's up and says “ Oooh I forgot to tell you, we do have one detail you need to know about” … “ We have booked for an owl to fly through the church and deliver the rings to the best man” WOW what a detail to nearly forget. I am going to get to photograph a real Hogwarts Owl special delivery. I was super excited, if a little worried that something might go wrong.

But the big day rocks up the sun is shining and everyone is dressed to the nines all is good. We are all thinking this is just to perfect something has to go wrong.. will it be the owl. We come to the ceremony and the best man steps up in swoops the Barn Owl with the rings, drops them off and swoops off again. The congregation oohs and ahhs … Perfect! What else can I say the rest of the day follows suit, everything goes to plan a perfect day for a perfect couple.

When Kerry and Stewart asked me to photograph their wedding I was so pleased as they seemed like such a nice down to earth couple. Then a month before the wedding Kerry asked me to come on down to the lighthouse where they would like some photos taking... wedding photos at a lighthouse? How quirky is that I though... and right up my street.

Well the day went without a hitch the sun came out to play and made for some super bright airy photos. We even made it out again after the reception so we could take in some of the views across from Northfields Park. A perfect summer wedding!
